The brief

What Pukhraj Garh needed

Pukhraj Garh is a heritage boutique hotel whose guests come for history, architecture and a refined stay. The identity had to carry the dignity of a garh without looking heavy or old-fashioned, and to sit comfortably beside the premium hotels guests compare it with online. It needed to work on printed menus and stationery, as an engraved or embossed detail, and as a clean digital mark on the website and booking platforms.

The idea

How the mark works

The logo centres on a fine line illustration of a haveli and garh gateway. Drawn in continuous, even strokes, the gateway frames an arched entrance flanked by architectural details typical of Rajasthani forts and mansions. Using line work instead of solid shapes keeps the mark light and elegant, suggesting craftsmanship and restraint rather than grandeur for its own sake. The gateway also works as a metaphor: it is the threshold guests pass through into a slower, more storied experience. Set above a classic serif wordmark, the illustration gives the brand a crest-like quality suited to a heritage property.

Colour

Gold lines evoke the hotel's name, which refers to a precious stone, and suggest the gilded detailing found in palace interiors.

Typography

A classic serif wordmark adds formality and heritage while remaining readable on menus, signage and screens.
