The brief
What Jai Bhavani Jewellers needed
Jai Bhavani Jewellers deals in jewellery, including imitation jewellery, where presentation strongly influences how customers perceive quality. The business needed a logo that felt rich and trustworthy, suited to showroom signage, packaging and bill books, and recognisable on social media where much of the product discovery now happens. The identity also had to suggest auspiciousness, since jewellery purchases in India are closely tied to weddings and festivals.
The idea
How the mark works
The logo uses a gold motif combining a lotus with a crown. The lotus is one of India's most enduring symbols of purity, beauty and auspicious beginnings, while the crown speaks of royalty and value. Together they suggest jewellery worthy of special occasions. The motif is symmetrical and ornamental, echoing the patterns found in traditional jewellery itself, yet simplified enough to be reproduced in foil on boxes or embroidered on pouches. Set against black, the gold motif appears to shine, much as jewellery does against a dark velvet display tray.
Colour
Gold on black mirrors a jewellery showroom display and instantly signals richness and quality.
Typography
A regal serif wordmark with classical proportions supports the motif's sense of heritage and value.
Where it lives
- Showroom signboard and display trays
- Foil-stamped boxes and pouches
- Bill books and certificates
