Editorial Design
Newspaper and Magazine Layout Designer
Page grids, mastheads and typography systems for local newspapers, newsletters and magazines, built so your team can produce every edition consistently.

Newspaper layout design with a strong grid
Newspapers are built on grids. A clear column structure lets editors fit stories of different lengths, place advertisements predictably and keep every page looking like it belongs to the same paper. We design that underlying grid first, then the masthead, section headers, bylines, captions and folios that sit on top of it.
The result is a system rather than a one-off design. Your layout team can produce edition after edition without reinventing each page. That consistency builds reader trust, because people learn where to find local news, editorials, sports and classifieds, and advertisers know exactly what space they are buying. Production also becomes faster and less stressful near deadlines.
Hindi and English editorial typography
Many regional publications in Rajasthan run in Hindi or in both languages. Devanagari headlines, body text and English sections need fonts that sit well together and stay legible on newsprint, which absorbs ink and softens fine details. We test type choices at actual print size and choose weights that hold up on cheaper paper.
Typography also sets tone. A community newsletter, a business magazine and a daily local paper should not feel the same. We pick typefaces and spacing that match your publication's voice, whether that is serious and authoritative or friendly and community-focused, and document the choices so new designers apply them correctly.

Templates for magazines, newsletters and e-papers
Beyond newspapers, we design layouts for corporate newsletters, school magazines, hotel in-room magazines and community publications. Each gets master pages and paragraph styles so future issues can be produced quickly by your own team or by us. We also design covers that change each issue while keeping a recognisable masthead and structure.
For digital publishing, we prepare page-flip friendly PDFs and can work with our sister brand Udaipur Web Designer if you need a news website alongside the print edition. E-paper files are optimised for screen reading, with sensible file sizes and page order, so readers on phones can browse an edition without long downloads.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Can you redesign an existing local newspaper?
Yes. We start by reviewing your current pages and understanding what readers and advertisers expect. A redesign usually keeps recognisable elements, such as the masthead colour, while improving the grid, typography and consistency so pages are easier to read and quicker to produce.
Which software do the templates work in?
We build templates in industry-standard layout software used by most publishers. Before starting, we confirm what your team uses so the master pages, styles and fonts open correctly and work smoothly in your production workflow. We also supply font details and a short usage guide.
Do you design school or corporate magazines?
Yes. School annual magazines, corporate newsletters and hotel magazines all benefit from a consistent layout system. We design the cover, contents page and article templates so each issue looks professional and can be produced quickly. Your team can then update content without design help.
Can you also build a news website?
Print layout is handled here. For a news or e-paper website, our sister brand Udaipur Web Designer and the 3i Planet team build sites for publishers, so the print and online editions can share the same visual identity. That consistency strengthens recognition.
